Kildare County Council is proposing to construct a new fire station at Mullen Park / Griffin Rath Road, off Straffan Road, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

The proposed development will include:

  • a single storey fire station building with three bays
  • a training tower
  • signage
  • landscaping
  • parking
  • an entrance off the Griffin Rath Road
  • site works associated with formation of new connections to existing public foul and surface water drainage, and existing utilities.

Submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, can be made via this portal until 4:00pm on 4th November 2022.

Submissions or observations may also be made in writing on or before 4.00pm on 4th November 2022 to: Chief Fire Officer, Newbridge Fire Station, Newbridge Industrial Estate, Newbridge, Co. Kildare. W12 PW70.  Submissions should be clearly marked “Maynooth Fire Station - Planning Submission - Planning Reference No. P82022.13”.

All comments, including names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this scheme, as outlined above, will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council. Accordingly, they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
