There is an inadequate grant scheme for Protected Structures in Kildare.

Príomh-thuairim: 

Given the age of the house, it now requires substantial renovation. The building was listed without any discussion with my late mother back in circa 1991.

Príomh-iarratais: 

Although the KCC officials have been helpful. The grant system is inadequate. The grant offered represents 4.4% of the estimated cost of the renovation required, the balance would need to be funded from our own resources. We maybe in a position to fund 40% of the renovation costs over two years.

Main reasons: 

The current grant scheme for Protected Structures is grossly inadequate resulting in further deterioration of the building, unless the grant is increased to allow the necessary work.
