Public Consultation on Emerging Preferred Route

Celbridge to Hazelhatch Link Road

RPS Consulting Engineers, working on behalf of Kildare County Council, have been appointed to progress the Celbridge to Hazelhatch Link Road Scheme through Phases 1 to 4 of the TII Project Management Guidelines. The scheme has progressed to Phase 2 and as such Kildare County Council wish to inform you that the Emerging Preferred Route Corridor for the scheme has now been identified.  The scheme will consist of a second bridge structure crossing the River Liffey and link road connecting Celbridge to Hazelhatch train station.  New pedestrian and cycling infrastructure are proposed along the route to encourage alternative more sustainable transport modes.

What’s happening now?

Kildare County Council is now inviting impacted parties, residents of the local area and members of the public, to participate in a 2nd Non-Statutory Public Consultation for the scheme in order to provide their feedback on the identified Emerging Preferred Route Corridor. This consultation event is running from 28th March 2022 until 6th May 2022 inclusive.
