Laura Bowen Conservation Architect on Behalf of Fintan Flood landowner, a submission on the connectivity of Cycle paths and routes to the interchanges at Newhall Naas and promoting the connectivity to allow more links to establish a more sustainable use for his landholding in Newhall.
This attachment refers to lands and farmcomplex at Newhall in the ownership of Mr. Fintan Flood which could be used to facilitate the acess to the green infrastructure, and connectivity of the pedestrian and cycle routes between the Towns of Naas and Newbridge and incorporating acess to the river Liffey to faciltate acess to a future provision of Greenways from Naas to Newbridge. The has been no provision for cycle paths in the recently installed interchanges at Newhall and this proposal may provide a solution to acessing across the M7. This would tie in with the future development proposal of the farm complex in question which is to be redeveloped and re landscaping towards a new sustainable commercial use more sympathetic in its rural location and historic asset, including refurbishment and reuse of the historic corn mill and reinstallation of the mill pond and watercourses at Newhall house.
