I want to object to this new development plan as it is trying to stop all one off housing in all areas of Kildare. Kildare county council mention sustainable development in urban regions yet have granted permission for over 500 units to be built in the Clane area with insufficent infrastructure. In addition it plans to restrict one off housing even in rural areas adjacent to large urban areas/developments. All Clane schools are currently at capacity in which some of the boys classes have to use class rooms in the girls school. I have myself been forced out of the town that I have lived and grown up in due to the extortionate house prices that most locals can not afford anymore and also cannot get planning for one off houses on their own land due to an out dated 'ribbon development' and 'local need' ruling. Also, Clane does not have enough traffic calming measures to facilitate this new influx in population that will come along with the propsed 500 plus new units.
