Existing Residential Zoning
Dear Sir/Madam,
We note that Kildare County Council is currently reviewing its County Development Plan.
It has come to our attention that the area outside Newbridge at Little Connell and Morristown Upper, which includes our family home, is not contained within the town boundary of Newbridge, although it lies immediately adjacent to it. The area in question, a local road which connects at two points to the R445, is a densely populated area which is a defacto part of Newbridge. The housing, lying north of the R445, lies between and includes, postcodes W12 YX67 and W12 YR74.
The house types in the area include some original Parnell cottages, some Council detached and semi-detached homes, and a number of detached bungalows. There are no undeveloped sites in the area. The town footpaths and public lighting extend to the area, thereby emphasising its urban nature.
We believe that including this area in the County Development Plan as part of Newbridge town would more accurately reflect what exists in reality on the ground, and accordingly we request Kildare County Council to give this area an Existing Residential zoning.

This would more accurately reflect what exists in reality on the ground.
