This proposed road is long overdue and will help address the current difficulties of congestion, pollution and safety that affect the majority of residents, visitors and businesses in the town. The current road network in Naas is inadequate to meet the needs of a growing town.We need to move vehicles away from the town centre as much as possible, to allow it to become a safer, easier and nicer place for people to access. Better traffic flow will ease congestion and reduce the air pollution caused by traffic jams. Safer spaces will be opened up for cyclists and pedestrians of all ages if they do not have to compete for road space with heavy vehicles. This new road will help future proof Naas by giving space for more sustainable transport methods, and the improved infrastructure will benefit residents, businesses and visitors by reducing the delays and costs caused by the current overstretched road network.
