I am writing to object to this proposal. The plan as it stands does not adequately address the transport and mobility needs of Naas town and population. As far back as 1994, a former civil engineer employee of Kildare County Council pointed out the short comings and limitations-of running a road through Naas Racecourse . Since then the population of Naas has increased exponentially as has the amount of traffic needing to get around Naas. A much more comprehensive and wide ranging solution is required and was outlined, rather than this criminal waste of scarce resources on a stopgap measure.
The Gallops Avenue plan does not have the support of local residents nor of Naas councilors.
