I wish to support the excellent Kildare National Peatlands Park proposed by the National Peatlands Park proposal group. It is the most significant response to the biodiversity crisis that I can find in Kildare.

As above I wish to strongly recommend that KCC do everything in their power to make the proposed National Peatlands Park a reality. It is the only response to our county promise of 30% protected land that I know of and is an excellent proposal. It baffles me that we only have 3% protected land in Kildare and I don't hear of any proposals being made to have that reach 30% by 2030 which is what we have promised as a country apart from this community sourced and led proposal.
