Need for better public transport and cycling facilities between towns

Hi there, I welcome the design plan for inter urban cycle routes in section 5 of the draft Kildare County Development Plan. I would ask that reference be made to upcoming National Cycle Network (for which the proposed cycle route along the R410 is included) in the draft County Development Plan. 
 

In addition I would ask for increased support for public transport between towns in Kildare and those towns on the border between counties (e.g. Blessington). For example, Newbridge and Naas are major centres of industry at present (Pharmaceutical companies, state bodies, soft drink manufacturers and more), and yet there is not the public transport infrastructure system and present to encourage a modal change for employees to public transport. All towns  be connected by a well serviced public transport system, particularly for employees of these companies.
