I am living in Straffan where a path is badly needed. There are dangerous bends that hide pedestrians and cyclists from view of oncoming traffic and most cars tend to drive well above the speed limit here. We are unable to take the short walk to the village safely and I have witnessed a cyclist almost knocked down recently. It is practically impossible to get to anywhere safely without a car - not very environmentally friendly.

A path has been requested by most neighbours on the road over the years only to be denied for reasons such as “density regulations”. Meanwhile,  children are forced to walk and cycle this road while cars speed by within inches of them.

Also, since the K Club have closed their back gates there is now nowhere for residents to go for a walk other than the Bohereen road, increasing the footfall and likelihood of a casualty. This vital infrastructure can’t be ignored anymore.
