Proposed Material Alterations

I object to the proposed planning alteration for the increased density threshold for this particular area of land. There already has been significant development of housing in this area and further developments under construction at this time all leading to total over development of this area of the town. The lack of open space being provided in this area is overwhelming and instead of making provisions for this the council is proposing even further increases of the density of further developments going into this area.

The lack of frequent public transport in this immediate and increasingly urban district is appaling. New bus routes should be provided along the new John Devoy Link Road at least with further improvements to the Naas Town Bus Network as a whole with further improvements needed further on with links to Dublin etc. The rail station being out in Sallins is also another huge disadvantage to this end of the town thus increasing reliance on bus services or lack thereof.

The proposed heights/density for the devoy barracks area is totally out of proportion for the immediate area such as the Arconagh/Elsmore Neighbourhoods (Low Density).

This area of land would be much better suited for recreation/park(perhaps something for the elderly residents of Naas) for the local area as this end of the town lacks an amenity like this. Monread Park would be a good comparison for this.
