At a special meeting of Kildare County Council on 21st October 2021, the Elected Members adopted the Naas Local Area Plan 2021 - 2027. The Naas Local Area Plan 2021 - 2027 will come into effect on 1st December 2021.

A special meeting of Kildare County Council to consider the proposed Material Alterations, Chief Executive’s Report dated 16th September 2021, Motions and to make the Naas Local Area Plan 2021-2027 will be held at 10.30 amon Thursday 21st October 2021 in Newbridge Town Hall.
The public can attend however numbers are limited and to do so a request must be sent via email to meetings@kildarecoco.ie

Chief Executive’s Report on Submissions/Observations on Proposed Material Alterations
The public consultation period for the proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Naas Local Area Plan 2021-2027 has closed. The Chief Executive’s Report has now been prepared and submitted to the Elected Members of Kildare County Council for their consideration.
The Chief Executives Report provides a summary of the issues raised in submissions received during the public consultation along with the Chief Executive’s opinions and recommendations in relation to policies/objectives to be included in the Draft Plan.
This report and appendices can now be viewed under the Reports and Outcomes sections on this page.
The Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Naas Local Area Plan 2021-2027
Only submissions or observations made in respect of the proposed material alterations and accompanying documents (including submissions relating to the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the proposed material alterations) will be taken into consideration at this stage.
The Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Naas Local Area Plan (LAP) 2021 - 2027 are now on public display and open for your submissions/observations. The proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Naas LAP comprises a written statement with maps and is accompanied by:

Planning Office, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas during opening times of 9.30am–4.00pm, Monday to Friday (closed Bank Holidays). In accordance with public health advice, appointments must be booked in advance at http://kildare.ie/countycouncil/OnlineBookingSystem/ and face coverings must be worn in public buildings.
