The submission is lodged on behalf of the Mallaghan family who own circa 300 acres of Carton Demesne (i.e. the non Hotel & Golf & Housing lands). The Mallaghan family's ownership of Carton Demesne dates back to the 1970s and the family remain committed to the completion of the conservation work required on their lands using the core policies of 'Protection, Promotion and Enhancement of Historic Estates' and implementing the modest and appropriate phased proposals, approved in the 1991 master planning application (Ref PL9/5/88418-441/91).
Swindon Investment Co Ltd's submission and on-going commitment to our lands within Carton Demesne:
Our primary aim and objective is the conservation, protection and where appropriate, the restoration of Carton Demesne’s woodland and protected structures which will improve access to the existing woodlands for both the local community and residents. Our commitment is to a strategic approach, that ensures that no piecemeal development occurs within Carton Demesne.
