The proposed Gallops Avenue (Chapter 5 - Priority Road and Bridge Projects) must be deleted from the Draft Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029. It will not address the needs of the county or of the town of Naas. Also, this road was democratically defeated in 2019 by the Naas councillors, 6 votes to 1. In this vote the councillors reflected the views of the people of Naas who have long campaigned against this road and want the county to have a road that meets the needs of the people - which this plan will not do.
