Our community group wish to seek the necessary protection the Gowran Grange Demesne rightly deserves and to ensure its legacy and contribution to society into the future. The 370 acre Gowran Grange Demesne is of historical, social, architectural and landscape significance. It warrants protected status on these various grounds as it represents a very important heritage asset that should be cherished and protected.
Plase see attached a submission as prepared by our Community Group which sets out the history of the Gowran Grange estate and sets out a rationale for its inclusion on the Register of Protected Structures. The report contains images and historical information illustrating the value of the Gowran Grange estate as a significant heritage asset.
