The idea of a road through St catherines park will be a disaster and destroy our Leixlip community. Myself and my husband walk in the park daily sometimes twice a day as do my neighbours. It is a well used amenity for residents of Riverforest and the only amenity we have in Leixlip. We along with my neighbours would have to consider moving house as we need green and open space near us for both our physical and mental health. This road, if put through the park would cause constant noise, light and air pollution and have a detrimental affect on our health. The residents of Leixlip would no longer use the park. All the fundraising done by the people of Leixlip and Lucan, which is over 60 thousand for development of the park and playground will have been for nothing. For a park that will no longer be used. This road if it goes ahead will sever the connection between Kildare residents and their park. This proposed road will also cause more congestion at an already busy interchange and introduce lots of traffic into the area. We have payed stamp duty. We continue to pay property tax that increases every year. We do not want a road through St. Catherine's park. Please listen to the people of Leixlip. Choose one of the other seven options. Thank you.
