Survey - Rathangan Town Renewal Masterplan

The Strategic Projects and Public Realm team, Kildare County Council invite you to participate in a survey on Rathangan.
It is intended that the Rathangan Town Renewal Plan will be developed in consultation with residential, community and commercial stakeholders, local Councillors and the relevant Departments within Kildare County Council. Specific projects will be identified in the Masterplan, with some delivered in the short term and others in the medium to long term, taking into account funding availability, land ownership etc. The Masterplan is an important tool to guide the sustainable development and evolution of Rathangan and that will enable Kildare County Council and the community to apply for a range of funding schemes, including the Rural Regeneration Development Fund and the Town and Village funding where a greater priority is given to the funding of projects which are considered part of an overall village plan.

The Strategic Projects and Public Realm Team of Kildare County Council have undertaken three separate public consultation pieces to date as part of the process of gathering and sharing information, challenges and ideas to collaborate with the community of Rathangan and shape and inform the Rathangan Town Renewal Masterplan.

The aim of each event was to engage with as much of the community as possible and that the final Town Renewal Masterplan for the town is representative of the views, values and needs of the community.
The report below details the findings of each of the public consultation events to date. A copy of the report will also be available to view in Rathangan Library.
