Naas Permeability Improvement Project

Dúnta9 Nol, 2021, 11:15am - 31 Ean, 2022, 11:59pm

Welcome

Kildare County Council is currently developing a number of permeability links in the Naas area.

The purpose of this online public consultation is to hear from the people who live, work, study or shop in the Monread area who will be impacted by these proposed permeability measures.

These links will benefit the community by linking key amenities such as shopping centres to residential areas. This will make it easier to walk or cycle to these amenities, cutting down on short car journeys. This is particularly important in the context of reducing emissions and tackling climate change.

The Council will be engaging with Gardaí as part of this non-statutory consultation and in accordance with the NTA's Permeability Best Practice Guide, the links will be subjected to post-implementation Evaluation and Monitoring that will assess successes and shortcomings.

A summary document which gives details of the permeability links proposed can be found here
