Developer Taking in Charge Request Form

In accordance with Section 180 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), a builder or developer may request Kildare County Council to take in charge the public roads and related services of an estate.  The developer is required to complete the works in accordance with the planning permission and any conditions attached to the permission and to the satisfaction of Kildare County Council, in line with its Taking in Charge Policy.

To complete this form, the following details are required:

  • Company Registered Name
  • Company Registration Number (CRO)
  • Planning Reference Number(s)
  • Commencement Notice Number(s)
  • Letter on the developer’s headed paper requesting the estate to be taken in charge.  This letter must be signed by at least one current director of the company.
  • All Uisce Éireann Conformance Certificates relevant to the development (where applicable).
