Kildare County Council, on behalf of Uisce Éireann, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads during the period commencing Thursday, 8 February 2024 to Friday, 8 March2024 to facilitate permanent reinstatement:
Planned works are programmed for up to 5 calendar weekdays. Advance notification of start date will be provided. Roads will be opened if works are completed early.
Only one Road Closure will be in operation at any one time.
Southbound vehicles on the R405/R403 (Liffey Bridge) towards Newcastle will be diverted left at the R403/R405/Ardclough Rd. intersection & will continue east along the R403 (circa 0.5km). They will then divert right & continue along the Shinkeen Rd. (circa 0.5km). They with divert left and merge onto the R405 again.
Northbound vehicles on the R405 from Newcastle toward Celbridge will be diverted right at the Shinkeen Rd. Junction. They will continue along the Shinkeen Rd (circa 0.5km). They will then divert left onto the R403 & right across the Liffey Bridge.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or by clicking "make a submission" on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 15 January 2024.
