Kildare County Council, on behalf of Uisce Éireann, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads during the period commencing Monday, 11 March 2024 to Saturday, 30March2024 to facilitate permanent reinstatement.
Planned works are programmed for 4 calendar weekdays. Advance notification of start date will be provided. Roads will be opened if works are completed early.
Only one Road Closure will be in operation at any one time.
Westbound vehicles on the R403 from Lucan/M4 will be diverted left at the Shinkeen Rd. Junction. They will continue on Shinkeen Rd. (circa 0.5km) to the R405 Junction where they will divert right onto the R405 & continue on to the Liffey Bridge.
Southbound vehicles from Celbridge Main Street & Eastbound vehicles from Clane (Liffey Bridge) will be diverted onto the R405 (Hazelhatch Rd.) as far as Skinkeen Rd. where it will divert left. They will continue on the Skinkeen Rd. (circa 0.5km) & divert right back onto the R403.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Transport, Mobility and Open Spaces, Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or by clicking "make a submission" on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 15 January 2024.
