Sallins Amenity Lands Masterplan

Closed18 Nov, 2020, 12:00am - 18 Dec, 2020, 5:00pm

Overview

Kildare County Council have appointed Cathal O’Meara Landscape Architects to prepare a masterplan for 41 acres (16.6 ha) in Sallins. They will provide recreational and amenity facilities for Sallins and surrounding areas. The lands are located between the Grand canal, the new Sallins By Pass and link roads, and the river Liffey. (see location map)

Why are we consulting

This is an initial consultation to inform the development of the masterplan.

We would like to hear what amenities and facilities people in Sallins and surrounding areas would like to see provided on the lands.

What happens Next

We will assess the submissions received and use them to inform the development of the masterplan. It is hoped to have a final masterplan prepared by April-May next year. The final masterplan will be advertised for planning permission (Part 8) publicly at that time to allow further submissions by the public on its contents. It is planned to present a report on the submissions on this planning permission (Part 8) for the masterplan to the Naas Municipal District members in Sept /October 2021 for them to decide on whether the masterplan should be granted permission to proceed or not.
