PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (as amended)

MATERIAL CONTRAVENTION OF THE KILCULLEN LOCAL AREA PLAN 2014-2020

Planning Register Reference 21/902

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 34(6) of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) that Kildare County Council intends to consider deciding to grant permission to Bella Enterprises Limited T/A Dunlea's of Kilcullen, for: (a) Construction of new showrooms for the sale of motor vehicles, (b) Offices, parts storage and ancillary accommodation at first floor level, (c) New recessed vehicle entrance, totem signs, general signage; (d) Provision of on-site parking for sale/display of vehicles and secure vehicle compound storage areas; (e) Connection to main foul sewer system, along with all associated site development and facilitating works at Brownstown, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare.

The development is proposed on lands zoned ‘H: Industry and Warehousing: To provide for and improve industrial and warehousing development’”, where the proposed motor sales use would not normally be permitted under the land use zoning matrix. The development would therefore contravene materially that zoning objective of the Kilcullen Local Area Plan 2014-2020.

Particulars of the development may be inspected online here or inspected and purchased at the offices of the planning authority during opening times of 9:30 a.m.– 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (closed Bank Holidays). In accordance with public health advice, appointments must be booked in advance at http://kildare.ie/countycouncil/OnlineBookingSystem/ and face coverings must be worn in public buildings.

Submissions or observations can be made online on this page at + MAKE A SUBMISSION  or in writing posted to Senior Executive Officer, Planning Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare, received not later than 4.00p.m. on 19th December 2021 and will be duly considered by the planning authority. Fax or email submissions will not be accepted.
