Notice of intention to prepare new Traveller Accommodation Programme for the period 2025-2029 and to carry out an assessment of existing and projected Traveller accommodation needs.
In accordance with the Housing (Traveller Accommodation) Act, 1998, Kildare County Council (being the relevant housing authority specified under the Act) is preparing a new Traveller Accommodation Programme for the period 2025-2029. This plan will cover the functional area of Kildare County Council. In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Council intends to carry out an assessment of the existing and projected accommodation needs.
Any person or organisation who wishes to make a submission in respect of the new Traveller Accommodation Programme is invited to do so.
Submissions should be made on the Council’s Online Consultation Portal (www.KildareCoCo.ie ) or in writing and marked “Traveller Accommodation Programme 2025-2029” and addressed to Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department, Kildare County Council, Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, County Kildare to be received no later than 12 noon on Thursday, 28th March, 2024.

All comments, including names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this consultation will form part of the required report to be presented at a meeting of the LTACC and Council's elected members. Accordingly, they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
