Kildare County Council
Active and Passive Recreation Needs Survey 2024
Kildare County Council is ambitious to ensure that it offers a great quality of life to its citizens and
to also provide opportunities that will support healthy lifestyles.
Central to this ambition is that the towns and villages in the County have the recreational facilities necessary to meet the needs of their communities.
In order to understand the level of recreational provision and any shortfalls that need to be addressed to meet existing recreational needs in County Kildare, Kildare County Council is asking active and passive recreational organisations to tell us about themselves, their membership, where they undertake their activities, and what they need to ensure that they can operate effectively and cater for future growth.
The survey is to inform the preparation of three very important strategy documents:
- The County Kildare Active Recreational Infrastructure Strategy;
- The County Kildare Outdoor Recreation Plan; and
- The County Kildare Local Sports Plan.
