Kildare County Council have commissioned AECOM to assist in developing a Local Transport Plan for Newbridge. The draft transport plan measures are designed to resolve existing issues in the transport network and to support safe, sustainable, efficient travel by all modes of transport in the future. Elements of the Local Transport Plan will be incorporated into the upcoming Newbridge Local Area Plan 2025-2031.
A ‘Phase 1’ public consultation survey was undertaken during August and September 2022 which gathered views from the public on transport issues in Newbridge. This feedback helped to inform the development of the measures in the draft Local Transport Plan.
Kildare County Council now wishes to invite feedback from members of the public on the specific measures contained in the draft Local Transport Plan Consultation Document which can be found here. A summary document containing the proposed measures only can be found here. Following the consideration of responses, the transport plan will be finalised and published.
As part of the process of finalising the Local Transport Plan, we may publish comments received through this online survey (please note that comments will be anonymised).
