Kildare County Council, on behalf of Glas Civil Engineering Ltd, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following road on Tuesday, 14 October 2025 to Sunday, 25 October 2025 to facilitate road resurfacing works as part of the Mill Street Active Travel Scheme.

Alternative Routes: Diversion routes will be in operation and clearly signposted for the duration of the road closure. Traffic approaching from the Parsons Street approach will be diverted to use the Meadowbrook Road, Meadowbrook Link Road and Staffan Road (R406). Traffic approach from the Kilcock Road (R148) or Moyglare Road will be diverted to use Lyreen Avenue and the Dunboyne Road. Traffic approaching from the Main Street (R148) or Straffan Road (R406) will be diverted to use the Dunboyne Road and Lyreen Avenue.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
