In accordance with the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, Kildare County Council hereby gives notice of its intention for the:
Proposed Vulnerable Road User Improvements and Junction Tightening at Millbrook, Rathangan comprising of:
·Installation of one raised uncontrolled crossing at the Junction of Millbrook and the R419.
·Installation of one raised uncontrolled crossing at the Junction of Bournes Lane and the R419.
·Installation of two bus friendly raised uncontrolled crossings on the R419.
·Kerb realignment to locally tighten junction mouths at Millbrook and Bournes Lane with the R419.
·Reconstruction & widening of the footpath extending from Bourne Lane to Glebe Court.
·Provision two new Public Lighting Columns.
·Upgrading of one existing Public Lighting Column
Drawings showing the proposed works will be available for inspection at the following locations from Tuesday15 September 2026 to Wednesday 14 October 2026.
·The offices of Kildare County Council, Level 4, Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare, Monday – Friday between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm.
