NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the DECISION of Kildare County Council to EXTEND the duration of the closure as detailed below of the following road in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994:

Alternative routes:
Traffic approaching closure from North on R417 Stanhope Street should turn left at Stanhope Place and left onto Leinster Street. Proceed to N78.The third exit, then second exit will bring them back to the R417 via the new relief road.
Traffic approaching closure from West on Duke Street should turn right at Barrow Quay and proceed onto R417.
Traffic approaching closure from East on Leinster street should turn left onto Barrow Quay and proceed onto R417.
Road Closure extended until Wednesday 15 September 2027.
The closure is required to facilitate the Tuesday market and other public events which necessitate the closure of the road.
Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
