Annual Liquor Licensing Renewals
If you are renewing a Publican’s licence, restaurant licence, or hotel licence, then this process does not apply and you should refer to the guidance provided here.
This licensing portal enables the Licensee to upload the relevant Service Certification for their licensed premises and will facilitate Kildare County Council in collecting the €200 licensing fee as part of the licence application process.
This process is relevant to the following types of licences only i.e. licences where the Fire Authority is a notifiable party and the applications are heard in the District Court:
- Club Licence
- Public Dance Licence
- Music & Singing Licence
- Gaming Licence
- Bingo Licence
- Transfer of Licence
Note: The following up to date documentation should be uploaded as part of the submission (you will need to ensure that the Service Contractor provides you with the correct certification detailed below prior to uploading):
- Fire Detection & Alarm System: the service certificate should be in accordance with the Annex D1 template of I.S. 3218:2013+A1:2019.
- Emergency Lighting System: the service certificate should be in accordance with the Annex C6 template of I.S. 3217:2023.
- Fire Extinguishers: the service certificate for the fire extinguishers should be in accordance with the requirements of I.S. 291:2015+A1:2022.
The original service certification should be stored in the Fire Safety Register for the premises. The Fire Authority will not consent to licence applications being renewed if the uploaded service certification is not satisfactory or if there are serious fire safety issues identified in the building.
